I feel horrible and the distance is starting to drive us both crazy. How can I show her parents I love her, save my relationship and do it without losing my family.

Our engagment will be at least untill I get out of college, she just graduated and I’m going into my senior year. So by that time I will be 21-23

I have been dating this man for over 2 years. I have found him lying to me and I found out. I asked him about it and he keeps telling me I keep asking him the same questions. How do I go about telling him how I feel and what I need without asking the same questions? I am trying to save the relationship by telling him how I feel and what I need from him. Ok so here is some history so you can help to answer this question. I’m a 33 year old man. I have had struggled with relationships all my life. I fall in love quickly then about a year into it I get bored with the relationship and lose interest. I LOVE the spark of a new relationship.I am use to having 10 to 12 different partners a year, so that plays a huge part in why I get bored so quickly. I recently got engaged to a girl that I love ( we have been dating for 2.5 years now) and find amazing, we get a long perfectly, she understands me, but now I am having the some struggles as I did in my past relationships, I thought that I was ready to settle down with one woman, I really want to but hate to have this feelings of wanting someone new, and having that honeymoon feeling. I really want to save this relationship. Can anyone recommend some books that I can read to help me understand why this always happens to me.

I haven’t been diagnosed as an alcoholic… but when I drink I over do it and cant handle it. It has caused several break ups and big fights between my boyfriend and I. The other night I over drank so much that I blacked out and got very very sick. We are hanging by a string, and we have both decided, and my counselor said, that I shouldn’t drink anymore.

Have you been Thur a similar situation? How did you deal with not drinking anymore when others around you are?

im losing my baby to we been thru alot i fought her alot because of my attitude and other girls but it just hurt to lose someone very special to me im tryin to save da relationship but she say she cant trust me i tried every flower, cryin, beggin just everything What me so bad we had a baby together but we lost it because of tha shit i did doin tha pregnancy im deep in love with her and she my high school sweetheart for almost 2yr. My girlfriend and I have been together for almost two years. I am 18 and she is 20. I will be graduating high school soon and will be going to college about 5 minutes away from here house. Untill a few days ago I believed I was in a happy, beautiful relationship. However, she did not feel the same, one arguement sent her into frenzy of unhappiness. She stated that she loved me but wasnt in love anymore. She was tired of working and going home, working and going home. She claimed that we were boring and didnt do anything, even though i constantly ask her to go places, but she’d rather relax at home. She claimed I call too much, however when I dont call she will get angry. In my opinion I believe she is just so unhappy with her life, and is going to throw away the best thing. We have vaguely spoken in the past few days, but when we do speak she says she needs her space and time to think. I will be going on a cruise in 2 days and will be gone for a week. I just don’t want to come back and her not be here anymore. I just want to save my relationship. Help?

My girlfriend and I have been dating almost a year now and during that past year we bought a nice house together, she moved in with me and we now both work in the same department. She’s in her mid 20’s and I’m in my early 30’s, but she has a couple of racist family members, who have in the past said comments against blacks, and it’s really tearing us apart and putting a wall between us. Neither of us want this relationship to end, we both want to eventually get married a few years down the road. And, we’ve dealt with the racism before, (she’s white, btw) and it stopped for a while, but it’s starting back up again, and we haven’t done nothing to them or said anything about them. What can I do to save my relationship?

i’ ve been hooked up with a boy for more than 5years now and its indeed a great love story… we’ve been talking about tying our knots together but we belong to different religion. Neither one of us is willing to change religion. But we both know that we really love each other but just can’t settle things out because of this one reason. My boyfriend has suffered some severe emotional abuse from me, at first things were great but then after about a year of us being together I started having extreme mental health and emotional issues like rage and depression and I’m so messed up on the inside, and because of me my guy has be drug down low. (I’m not making an excuse, I’m just explaining how I am). There have been some messed up things that have happened in the past. Things aren’t even half as bad right now as they were like a year ago, and I know he’s an adult and he chose to stay but I but now he is so messed up because of me and I just never owned up to getting myself to change until these past couple of months. I just want to know if it’s possible to save a relationship after so much damage, because we both love eachother very much, he’s so messed up about it beacuse he wants to be with me but not how it is while I’m in this messed up state hurting him all the time
We aren’t together right now, we have been not really together for a while now but it’s been a back and forth kind of thing and because both of us now are emotionally unstable it seems there’s always some kind of a fight, whether because of my insecurity. We know we shouldn’t be together now and we aren’t but is it possible to even save after having experienced such things.
the time during this has happened he stayed with me because it wasn’t like me because it was like I was I was someone else , I think I possibly have a disorder like borderline disorder but i’m not sure, I need to go to a doctor. I’m hopeful maybe because it was like I was some other person and not being malicious on purpose or something maybe we have hope to move on if we both go seperate ways and reconnect after healing? :’(

I said we are not and have not been together in a typical relationship, and have not been for a while, and I wanted to know if it was possible to eventually save it AFTER the fact of us both healing. And other things you have said show me you haven’t truly read what I wrote. You really ought to read things before you respond.

Ok this is a long one so bear with me. My boyfriend and of of 6 years are separating, we have a daughter together who is about to turn 4 next week. We have been through a lot as young parents including issues with my Dad. For the past 1 and 8months I have been stuck in a hole. Depressed in a sense, I easily lost hold of who I was and my goals and ambitions in life. My boyfriend and Dad had a huge blow out at that time. I was reluctant to address the issue and resolve anyway but mine which is to let time heel which was not working. It has been a struggle since not having my Dads side of the family apart of our lives and constant arguments between my boyfriend and I over the issue plus others. It has gotten to the breaking point with my boyfriend that he wants to separate. He feels that I am not the person I use to be, that I am weak and do not stand up for what I feel. I feel the support has not been there always you should do this and that and never any WE. We have talked about how the separation will allow us to work on ourselves and heal and maybe we will rejoin in the future. This is not what I want, I believe this is something we can do with out separating. Sorry if I am babbling now but I need advice. I want to save this relationship I do not want to separate, I have tried many different things and they are not working. Including talking to my Dad and attempting to re-build our relationship in hopes to create some positive energy between our homes. (Something my boyfriend told me to do a long time ago but I wanted to do it my way was getting some head way until I got shot down with the it’s to late, I don’t care anymore from my boyfriend) So please do not hold back any words of wisdom would be helpful.
