Well I have a a boyfriend and he’s the greatest, I’m not asking because of him. I’m asking because of me. l hate being in a relationship, I feel like my freedom is restricted even though my boyfriend is about the most lax guy in the world. He does every thing right and is not only my boyfriend but my best friend. But I hate not being able to flirt with guys like at the pool, and stuff like that. It just doesn’t feel right. I don’t know if I should break up or not. I want to break up and stay friends but I don’t want to break his heart so I want to try and save it some how, he’s always wanting to take me on a date, and it feels so awkward with friends around, I don’t want to even imagine what it would be like if we were alone! I’m really scared and I don’t know what to do, if I break up with him how should I break up with him, if I save it how do I save it?! please help me
I’ve heard a couple people say negative things on this, the thing is I would love to dump him, but every time I try he says something like, I love you, or, you’re the greatest, and I really don’t want to break his heart. He’s just not the same guy he was in the school year

by the sounds your not dating, you havent been out alone or anything, tell him you want to be friends and nothing more.

NEVER STAY IN A RELATIONSHIP THAT YOUR NOT HAPPY IN I think u should tell him how u feel say I feel us being more than friends isn’t right for me at this point of time in my life I would love 4 us 2 still be friends. That’s called letting him down easy
i think you should save your relationship but if you feel akward then you should deff. break up with him. a relationship should be something nice and peacful, but you cant feel akward in a relationship, they arent meant for that. and if you do save your relationship flirt with the guys that already have girlfriends that way your boyfriend wont fell your trying to get with them.

I think you need to be honset with him and yourself. Tell him how you feel. If he really cares about you then I think he would still want to be friends.
If this guys so great then why would you want to dump him. You should fell guilty if you flirt with other guys. If in a relationship all flirting if harmful. No such thing as harmless flirting unless you are single. If you break it off then you both might say lets be friends but it ralrely happens. It’s a way to let someone know it was fun while it lasted. If he’s laid back guy then why feel so awkward around your friends when with him? Unless you know that your going to flirt with other guys and it might upset him. He wouldn’t be human if he didn’t get upset. The way it sounds is that you are not ready for a relationhip. Your only going to end up hurting him if your not faithful to him.
Total honesty.. you owe him that much.. Don’t try and find an easy way out as the easy way is full of lies.. Would that be fair to him.. Just sit down and tell him your feelings. you might be surprized at the results..

I would have liked to know your age for it appears that you are very young. There is a sayinga bird in hand is worth two in the bush.If you love this guy ,then settle down and work to make it the kind of relationship you want.If you don’t love him ,then let him know in the most gentle of manner that you can muster.However, if you want to hang on to him while you play the field ; you are going to break his heart for sure. Remember, you also have a heart and it can be broken.
